We are involved in cat rescue, dog rescue and also rescue many small animals like rabbits & guinea pigs. We are able to rescue the animals you will see on our website thanks to all the people who fund raise at gala's, car boots, tin rattles etc. But it does not stop there! We have a RAW army that do the many vet runs, dog walks, animal fostering, telephone messages, accounts, newsletters etc etc. We would also like to thank the general public that donate (see below) and companies that sponsor Royston Animal Welfare. Not all charities are registered (always look for a charity number). We are, so all information about our funds and how we spend them is available for the public to view on the Charity Commission website. Registered charity no. 1064870 R.A.W. is run totally by dedicated volunteers from Royston, Barnsley & surrounding villages in South Yorkshire. All animals who come into our care stay with us, safe and secure until a home can be found for them regardless of how long this takes.
WE NEVER PUT ANIMALS TO SLEEP EXCEPT ON VETERINARY ADVICE. We desperately need funds & volunteers to continue to help more animals in distress. If you can help in any of the following ways please phone 01226 298271:- Donations of bric-a-brac or raffle prizes. Helping with fundraising. Sponsorship of a kennel or the group. Becoming a member. The annual subscription for becoming a member is £8.00 for an individual, £15.00 for a couple or family & £5.00 for senior citizens, students etc... Each month you will receive our newsletter that will tell you about recent adoptions, forthcoming fundraising events & other items of news about the group. For a membership form please email your address to janette@roystonanimalwelfare.org You are also welcome to attend our meetings which are held at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of each month at the Cross Public House in Royston.
